In this illuminating talk, Sharon Wright, author of Mother of the Brontës, reveals how Maria shaped the early Brontë family and why she deserves recognition as the true heart of the Birthplace. This talk will be followed by a book signing.
Sharon Wright is an award‑winning journalist, playwright and author whose work includes The Lost History of the Lady Aeronauts and Mother of the Brontës. She writes for national and international publications and in 2024 successfully campaigned to correct the missing diareses (ë) the Brontë memorial in Westminster Abbey, don’t forget the dots!
